General ART Program Questions or Comments
A key component of ART’s program is stakeholder engagement. ART welcomes and encourages all stakeholders to actively participate in the processes at any point.
Stakeholders wishing to ask questions, request information missing from the ART website or registry, convey compliments, or submit concerns or suggestions for improvement regarding ART program requirements or governance are encouraged to write to the ART Secretariat at REDD@winrock.org. This email reaches the entire ART Secretariat team and helps ensure that the right person receives the email. Stakeholders may, of course, also contact individual members of the ART Secretariat.
Participant REDD+ Program Public Comments
ART publishes all Participant TREES Documents on the ART Registry as required by TREES. Notification is sent via email to all individuals registered to receive ART updates whenever new documents are posted. Please register to join the mailing list.
Any stakeholder that wishes to do so may submit comments or concerns regarding information contained in a Participant’s TREES Registration Document or the TREES Monitoring Report. This feedback is an integral part of the validation and verification process. Comments received within 30 days of the documents being posted are most helpful to the validation and verification body as they can be incorporated into the audit process from the very start. Additional comments will be accepted for as long as they can be meaningfully included in the validation and verification process. Comments received after this time will not be dismissed. They will be included in the next validation and verification process.
Comments may be submitted in any language to REDD@winrock.org. Please indicate in the subject line of the email the name of the program for which you are submitting comments. An online form for submitting comments will be coming soon.

Complaints and Appeals
ART encourages any stakeholder that has concerns to contact the Secretariat to discuss the concern and possible solutions prior to filing a formal complaint. This will allow the concern to be considered and discussed more quickly. If a stakeholder wishes to file a formal complaint however, Section 16 of The REDD+ Environmental Excellence Standard (TREES) outlines the complaints and appeals procedure under ART. ART has prepared guidance providing more details on the process and timelines in response to comments received from stakeholders that the process was not clear.
Any stakeholder may submit a complaint to ART. Stakeholders may submit a complaint in the form of a written letter, email or other written communication (text, Whatsapp) to ART at any time. An online form is under development. Complaints sent via email should be sent to REDD@winrock.org with the subject line “Complaint submission to ART”.
Copies of complaints and appeals submitted and the Report generated following the review will be posted on the website below.
